Accessibility

I want everyone to be able to use this site and this service. This page says what has been done, what has not, and how to ask for something different.

Last reviewed: 30 September 2026. I review this statement whenever the site changes. This is version 1.0.

The website

The site is built with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA as its target. In practice that means:

  • it works with a keyboard, and has a skip link to the main content;
  • it respects your device’s reduced-motion setting;
  • colour contrast, heading structure and tap-target size have been checked on phones, tablets and desktops.

It has not been independently audited. The checks were done while the site was being built, not by an outside accessibility specialist, so I cannot promise that every page meets every part of the standard. If you find something that does not work for you, please tell me and I will fix it where I can.

Known limitations

Each worksheet on the resources page has its own web page with the full worksheet in HTML, and the PDF versions are tagged for screen readers. They have not been checked against the PDF/UA standard with a specialist validator, so some screen readers may still read parts of a table in an unexpected order. If you need one in another format, such as Word, large print or plain text, tell me which worksheet and which format and I will send it. There is no charge.

Adjustments to therapy

Adjustments to therapy itself are part of the service, not a favour. They are discussed individually, because what helps one person is no use to another. You can ask about, for example, shorter sessions, written summaries after a session, video with the camera off, a phone call instead of video, extra processing time, and communication support.

Tell me what you need on the free introductory call, or before it if that is easier, and we will work out together what is possible. If I cannot provide something you need, I will say so plainly and help you find a service that can.

In-person appointments

In-person appointments are in your own home or at my office in Ravenshead, Nottinghamshire. Please ask me about access to the room before you book, including steps, parking and toilets. I would rather describe it to you exactly than have you find out on the day. Online sessions are available across the UK if the room does not suit you.

How to ask, or to tell me about a problem

You do not need to explain or prove a disability to ask for an adjustment.

If you are not happy with my response, the Equality Advisory and Support Service can advise you. Its helpline is 0808 800 0082 and its website is equalityadvisoryservice.com.
